Guided nature walks at Bugoma Forest are exceptional to do as visitors follow varying trails experiencing the forest’s biodiversity, landscapes. Most of these are done around the Busingiro ecotourism area which is the initial access point for visitors then they follow a network of paths used for forest exploration, Birdwatching, Primate tracking and Environmental education purposes.

Best Time to enjoy guided nature walks in Bugoma Forest is during the dry season in the months of June–September and December–February. This is the best time because during this time, the trails are navigable as the grasses, bushes are not grown hence transferring from one point to another is less challenging as you watch various primates, bird species.
Guided Nature Trails to Follow
While on guided nature walk in the forest, the treks take place along the Bugoma Jungle Lodge Loop Trail a 20-minute, 1.3 km loop that focuses on the “Grey Parrot loop,” which features certain tree species, birds and primate spotting.
The walks also include visiting the villages while on community walk. The villages you visit include; Kyamujogo and Nyakafunjo villages where you experience local culture and cuisine.
